Joao Fonseca is hoping to be able to compete at the same level as both Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
Fonseca has been predicted to challenge Alcaraz and Sinner in the future, with there a lot of hype around the 19-year-old.
The Brazilian had his first opportunity to test his level against them at Indian Wells, with Sinner beating Fonseca in a close-fought straight sets win.
Fonseca could not play Alcaraz in Miami, and he has spoken about what he thinks makes the Spaniard and Sinner so dominant.

Ahead of the second tournament in the sunshine double getting underway, Fonseca spoke to miamiopen.com after his recent match with eventual Indian Wells champion Sinner.
When speaking about both the top two players on the ATP Tour, Fonseca praised Alcaraz and Sinner for their consistency, which he labelled ‘insane’ and claimed they were on a different level to the rest of the top 10 right now.
“The consistency and the level that both of them (Alcaraz and Sinner) are playing is just insane,” said Fonseca. “Not only am I saying that, but the top 5 and top 10 players are saying that they are on a different level. I’m working really hard to achieve what those guys are doing.
“They can play at a high level for a longer period, and they don’t usually have a weakness so it’s difficult to play against them. You need to serve well; you need to return well; you need to do everything almost perfectly to win. You can’t always be perfect.”
Fonseca could play Alcaraz for the first time if he wins his first round match against Fabian Marozsan at the Miami Open.

Fonseca is one of the most exciting young players in tennis right now, and last year he reached the third round of the Miami Open.
There was chaos at the Miami Open last year, after Fonseca’s match against eventual champion Jakub Mensik had a last-minute schedule change in an attempt to manage the popularity of the Brazilian player.
Tournament director James Blake has already confirmed Fonseca will be on Stadium Court for all of his matches, as well as Alexandra Eala.
When asked about his popularity, particularly in Miami, Fonseca explained that he felt more prepared for it this year.
“A lot of Brazilians [here]. It was important for me, for my development,’’ said Fonseca. “I’m not very used to it yet, but more than last year. I’m a little bit more prepared for a great moment as well.”

Fonseca will play his first round match against Marozsan, who he lost to in their only previous meeting on the clay of Rome last year.
If he is able to get revenge over Marozsan, then Fonseca will play world number one Alcaraz for the first time on the ATP Tour.
