Jack Draper has won the biggest title of his career so far at Indian Wells after beating Holger Rune in the final.

Draper and Rune made history by reaching the Indian Wells final, but it was the Brit who got the better of the occasion after winning, 6-2 6-2.

This followed on his semi-final match, where Draper beat defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to book his place into the final.

Boris Becker sends warning to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz after Jack Draper wins Indian Wells

Becker knows what it takes to win the Indian Wells title, having done so in back-to-back years in 1987 and 1988.

When reacting to the result of the final, Becker was full of praise for Draper’s character on and off the court.

The multiple-time major winner also suggested that the top three ranked ATP players, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev and Alcaraz, should be wary of this performance from Draper.

“I like @jackdraper0 So well spoken, educated, humble and a beast on the tennis court!” Becker said on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I want more from him rest of the year … Be aware @janniksin @AlexZverev @carlosalcaraz!”

Out of all those players, Alcaraz is particularly aware of Draper after losing two out of their last three meetings over the past year.

“Huge congratulations to @jackdraper0 for winning @BNPPARIBASOPEN!” said Becker, who is a former two-time Indian Wells champion. “Great Britain should be proud!!!

“@holgerrune2003 didn’t show up today… Why ? Only he knows ! Anyway, good luck to both players for the rest of the season!”

As a result of Draper winning his biggest title so far, he will now move up to a career-high ranking of world number seven.
