The Indian Wells final between two of the tour’s top young players looks set to be an exciting one, and it will also be the first of its kind.

Jack Draper and Holger Rune make ATP Tour history at Indian Wells
Jack Draper reached his first Masters 1000 final with a huge win over defending champion Carlos Alcaraz.
In a strange match with significant momentum swings, Draper dominated set one before stormed back to take complete control of set two.
The third set was more of an even affair, as Draper claimed two breaks of serve to go up 5-2, but Alcaraz claimed one back and consolidated it to reduce the deficit to 5-4. But at the second time of asking, Draper successfully served for the match.
Rune levelled his head-to-head rivalry against Daniil Medvedev by section 7-5, 6-4 victory to reach the Indian Wells final for the first time.
Following Draper and Rune’s progress to the championship match, their final will be the first at ATP Masters 1000 or Grand Slam level to take place between two players born after the year 2000.

Draper will now compete for a third title on Sunday at Indian Wells and he is delighted to become the newest member of the top 10 on Monday.
“It feels unbelievable,” Draper told Sky Sports about his latest achievement. “When the guy said it on the court I felt emotional.
“We’ve been through so much over the last year with injuries and setbacks. It’s such a tough sport and we give so much to it and yeah, it feels incredible. “
