Taylor Fritz will make his return to competition at the Geneva Open next week.
Fritz suggested he could skip the entire clay court season at the Miami Open, which was the last tournament he played, due to chronic knee tendinitis.
The American had followed through with that so far, with Fritz skipping the Italian Open, Madrid Open and the Monte Carlo Masters.
However, Fritz does not appear to be skipping the clay court entirely, as he is still entered into both the Geneva Open and the French Open, and he is now in his first draw in nearly two months.

Taylor Fritz’s draw for the Geneva Open has been announced
Fritz is making his fourth consecutive appearance at the ATP 250 tournament in Geneva, where he will be the top seed this year.
The world number seven achieved his best result in 2023, when he reached the semifinals, and now Fritz will be hoping to improve on that.
What is preventing Taylor Fritz from winning a Grand Slam?
Despite being the top seed at an ATP 250 event, Fritz has not been handed an easy draw for his first tournament in nearly two months.
Fritz receives an automatic bye to the second round as the top seed, where he could play former Masters 1000 champion Alexei Popyrin.
The 28-year-old could face another hugely tough test in the quarterfinals against Casper Ruud, who is into the Italian Open final.
Some of the other potential threats to Fritz in Geneva include Alexander Bublik and Cameron Norrie.

Every singles champion at the Geneva Open since 2015
Although the Geneva Open is the lowest level of tournament on the ATP Tour, there have been some very high-profile champions in recent years.
The best example of this came last year, when Novak Djokovic won his 100th ATP title after beating Hubert Hurkacz in the Geneva final.
Ruud is actually the most successful player in the history of the Geneva Open, winning three titles in the past four years of the tournament.
Some of the other former champions in Geneva include the retiring Stan Wawrinka and Alexander Zverev.
| Year | Singles champion at the Geneva Open |
