Carlos Alcaraz may not be adding to his Grand Slam tally in 2026 according to Sam Querrey.

Alcaraz won two Grand Slam titles in 2025, making him already a six-time major winner at just 22 years old.

Having won three of the four Grand Slam tournaments, Alcaraz has a big goal to win the Australian Open in 2026, as he looks to become the youngest man to complete the Career Slam.

Although Alcaraz has won at least one major title for the last four consecutive years, former Wimbledon semifinalist Sam Querrey has suggested he will go without in 2026.

Sam Querrey predicts Jannik Sinner to make history in 2026

As the 2026 season gets underway, Querrey and the rest of his co-hosts on the Nothing Major Podcast have made their ‘bold predictions’ for the year.

This included former top 30 player Steve Johnson backing Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon, as well as predicting both Learner Tien and Joao Fonseca to end the year inside the top 15 of the ATP rankings.

Johnson also made some big predictions about WTA players, picking Amanda Anisimova to end the year as the world number one.

The topic of Grand Slam champions continued on the men’s side, with John Isner suggesting that Alcaraz and Sinner will not win all four majors in 2026, as they have done for the past two years.

Querrey did not agree with this and instead backed Sinner to complete the Calendar Slam, which only two other men in history have done before.

Isner: I think we will have a Grand Slam winner on the men’s side who is not Sinner or Alcaraz.

Querrey: My bold take is that I think Sinner is going to win all four majors this year. What is more likely Sinner winning all four or someone other than Sinner or Alcaraz winning one?

Sock: Sinner winning all four, that was going to be mine.

Jack Sock says what Carlos Alcaraz could do if he does not win the French Open

While it is a bold prediction Querrey has made, there is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding Alcaraz following his shock split from Juan Carlos Ferrero.

There has been a lot of speculation about whether someone could take over Ferrero’s role of coaching Alcaraz, but former top 10 player Jack Sock believes they could reunite if he does not win the French Open this year.

“I think for Alcaraz’s standards there is going to be a tiny bit of a lull and there’s going to be a Ferrero and Alcaraz reconnection at some point this year, back in the box,” said Sock.

“Work things out, put things to the side, he’s going to miss having an almost family type relationship it seemed with him…Yeah, I think he’s back in the box before the end of the year…If he doesn’t win the French I think he’s like back.”

Alcaraz will begin his 2026 season at the Australian Open without Ferrero, but first he will play an exhibition match against Sinner in Incheon, South Korea, on January 10.
