Novak Djokovic has continued his superb run at the Miami Open, with his former rival Juan Martin del Potro cheering him on during his latest win.
Del Potro retired in December last year aged 36, where he played a farewell match against Djokovic in Argentina.
The former called time on his stunning career after 22 ATP Tour titles, with the latter currently chasing a 100th title at the Miami Open.
Djokovic blew away Andy Roddick after securing a 411th ATP Masters 1000 win in Miami, having beaten Camilo Ugo Carabelli in round three.
And he has since progressed to the quarter-finals, having just knocked out Lorenzo Musetti in the round of 16.

As per Tennis TV, the Serbian had support from Del Potro and fellow legend Serena Williams for the match, with Djokovic saying on court: “I was starstruck, you know.
“I mean it was amazing to see first Delpo, obviously a long-time friend and a rival, so happy to have him around and get his support from the box, it was amazing.

“It was the first time to have Delpo in the box, I want to thank him really for coming. And Serena, you know that was a surprise, I didn’t know.
“Actually when I had that down the line passing shot I pointed to her and I asked her whether it was okay.
“And she kind of said yeah it was fine you know, if Serena says it was fine, then it was amazing, by everyone else’s standards.”
Del Potro then shared the comments on X, saying: “Today, I saw you from the box as your fan. I’m really impressed with how you play tennis. You are too good amigo.”
What is the head-to-head record between Novak Djokovic and Sebastian Korda?
Djokovic is yet to drop a set at the Miami Open, which represents the 37-year-old’s fifth tournament of 2025 so far.
He has failed to lift a trophy so far as his search for an elusive 100th ATP title goes on, but he is certainly looking strong in Miami.

The fourth seed at the ATP Masters 1000 event now meets 24th seed Sebastian Korda in the quarter-finals.
And like Djokovic, the American has been in top form on the hard courts of Miami, knocking out the likes of Gael Monfils and ninth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Djokovic and Korda have had their fair share of injuries in recent times, with the latter even forced to retire hurt from his doubles venture with Jordan Thompson.
The pair have met just once in their ATP careers so far, with the Serbian winning an epic Adelaide final against the American in 2023.
