Novak Djokovic is in with a chance of clinching a 100th ATP Tour title at the Miami Open, where he is now into the round of 16.
Djokovic has been backed to reach the Miami Open semi-finals, but the ATP number five must first get past Lorenzo Musetti.
Serbian star Djokovic had an injury scare before his most recent match, but seemingly recovered to beat Camilo Ugo Carabelli.
After being handed a bye in round one, fourth seed Djokovic beat Rinky Hijikata in round two, before securing a round three win over Carabelli.
Having lost in qualifying, Carabelli was a lucky loser at the Miami Open, but his run ended in the form of a 6-1, 7-6(7-1) Djokovic defeat.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion certainly enjoyed the match, tagging his latest opponent on X with the message: “Thanks for the battle. Hola Miami! Idemooo.”

And despite being on the receiving end of a one-hour, 45-minute loss, the Argentine replied: “Great match, thanks,” tagging Djokovic.

The love between ATP Tour players didn’t end there, with another Argentine in Francisco Cerundolo also taking to social media after his latest match.
The Miami Open 23rd seed clinched a real upset against home favourite Tommy Paul, defeating the American 6-2, 7-6(7-4) in their third round meeting.

“Great match against a friend and an amazing player!” Cerundolo wrote on X after knocking out the 12th seed. “See you on Tuesday.”
His tournament now continues against fifth seed Casper Ruud, with the ATP Masters 1000 event now reaching the latter stages.
Top seed Alexander Zverev remains in contention, with second seed Carlos Alcaraz having suffered a shock second round exit.
