Jack Draper continued his meteoric rise by winning his first ATP 500 title at the Vienna Open against Karen Khachanov.

Draper blew away Khachanov in the early stages of their Vienna Open final, before eventually battling to win 6-4, 7-5.

The British number one, who won the Stuttgart Open earlier this year, now has two tour-level titles to his name.

And along with the latest trophy, Draper has risen to 15th in the ATP rankings, with Khachanov rising to 21st after his run.

The former has climbed three places to a new career-high ranking, with the latter having also risen by three spots.

Draper finished off his superb Vienna Open adventure in style, having overcome the likes of Tomas Machac and Lorenzo Musetti along the way.

And his efforts have caught the attention of two fellow stars, after Draper celebrated his success on social media.

“ATP 500… Thank you Erste Bank Open for an incredible week,” Draper wrote on Instagram, with a nod to his second title.

And among those commenting were Jannik Sinner and Tommy Paul, with the former sending three clapping emojis and the latter writing: “Sheesh idk what’s prettier.”

Draper has continued his superb breakout season, adding to his ATP 250 title in Stuttgart with the success in Vienna.

The Briton also reached the semi-final of the US Open last month, with his dream run brought to a halt by world number one Sinner.

Remarkably, Draper sat just inside the world top 100 at this stage last season, having struggled with a shoulder injury.

But that is now a distant memory for the 22-year-old, with the British number one now among the top 15 players in the world.

The latest success was made even more impressive given his injury and illness problems ahead of the event in the Austrian capital.
