Jack Draper has made the unfortunate decision to withdraw from the Shanghai Masters due to injury.
Draper had just withdrawn from the Japan Open, retiring from his quarter-final clash with Ugo Humbert due to an abdominal issue.
The British number one overcame Mattia Bellucci and Hubert Hurkacz in Japan before retiring hurt against Humbert.
Draper clinched a third top-10 win of 2024 against Hurkacz, in what was his first ATP tournament since his stunning US Open run.
The 22-year-old made it all the way to the semi-finals in Flushing Meadows before losing to eventual champion Jannik Sinner.

What Jack Draper’s camp has said about his injury after Shanghai Masters withdrawal
Draper wanted a positive Asian swing following that adventure in New York, but those dreams have now been dashed.
As reported by Sky Sports, his camp say Draper does not know the extend of the injury yet, but feels the turnaround from the Japan Open to the Shanghai Masters is too quick.
Huge blow for Jack Draper after Japan Open recovery
The Briton tried to continue against Humbert in Tokyo after receiving treatment, but the abdominal issue is clearly a real problem.
He was set for a round two meeting with either Hugo Gaston or Jaume Munar in Shanghai, having been given a first round bye.
But now it seems that rest and recovery is his only option at this moment in time, rather than competing in Shanghai with the likes of Novak Djokovic and Sinner.
Draper looked strong at the Japan Open with his early wins, having seemingly shaken off the disappointment of the Davis Cup.
Perhaps his time with Great Britain came too close after the US Open, with Draper losing both of his matches as his nation failed to qualify for the Final 8.
