Jack Draper is on top of the world at this moment in time, with the Briton having just won the Vienna Open.

Draper overcame illness to reach the Vienna Open final, where he came face-to-face with Karen Khachanov.

And it was the Briton who came out on top in Austria, with seventh seed Draper beating his opponent 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 35 minutes.

Draper had been dealing with an abdomen issue before the tournament, having withdrawn from the Japan Open last month due to the problem.

The British world number one subsequently missed the Shanghai Masters, but Draper still rose to 19th place in the ATP rankings.

Jack Draper set for ATP top 15 after Vienna Open win

It was a career-high ranking for the 22-year-old, who has since risen to 18th place, but he is now set to move into the ATP top 15 thanks to his run at the Vienna Open.

As per the ATP website, the Briton secured the feat after his semi-final win over Lorenzo Musetti, with Draper’s new position set to be confirmed on Monday.

Draper’s fantastic season continued at the Vienna Open, where he won his maiden ATP 500 final at the first attempt.

The Briton impressively overcame the likes of Musetti and Tomas Machac in Austria, before a brilliant final performance against Khachanov.

Khachanov went into the final in superb form, having been on an eight-match indoor hard-court winning streak following his success at the Almaty Open.

It was also his first ATP 500 final, but the 28-year-old fell short against Draper, who was playing in the biggest title match of his brief career so far.

But he does have very little time to celebrate the success, with the British number one remarkably set to take on Jiri Lehecka in the Paris Masters round of 64 on Monday.

Draper does, however, deserve to take a moment to reflect on his rapid rise, having sat just inside the top 100 this time last year.
