Iva Jovic and Alexandra Eala are two of the most exciting young stars on the WTA Tour right now.
Jovic and Eala both had successful junior careers, and they have been able to transition this to the main tour after both enjoying breakout results over the past year.
As well as individually being two of the most talked about young singles players, Jovic and Eala have also played two doubles tournaments together this year.
After Jovic beat Paula Badosa 6-2, 6-1 at the Miami Open, she spoke about her relationship with Eala, Mirra Andreeva and Victoria Mboko, as well as what she hopes for their future.

Who is your favorite player on the WTA Tour right now?
When speaking to miamiopen.com, Jovic revealed that they all have a really good relationship and stated her goal for them to play in some big matches in the future.
“We have a great bond, the young players because we’re in a similar boat because we’re all finding our way on the Tour,” said Jovic.
“The other day we were all practicing in the rain on the same court, me, Mirra, Vicky and Alex. It was really fun. I hope we will play in the future in some big matches.”

Jovic will be facing another young WTA player in her next match, as she takes on the in-form Australian Talia Gibson, with the 21-year-old backing up her run to the Indian Wells quarterfinals after beating Naomi Osaka in Miami.
How do Iva Jovic, Alexandra Eala, Mirra Andreeva and Victoria Mboko’s careers compare so far?
While Eala is one of the most popular players in tennis right now, she is actually the only player out of the four who is yet to win a WTA title.
The closest Eala came to achieving this was in Eastbourne last year, where she had four championship points in the final against Australian teenager Maya Joint.
Eala is the oldest player out of herself, Jovic, Andreeva and Mboko, but she actually has the lowest career-high ranking.

Andreeva, who made her WTA debut at just 15 years old, has the highest career-high ranking of world number five, and has already reached the semifinal of a Grand Slam, having also won two WTA 1000 titles.
Mboko won the Canadian Open last year and has enjoyed a huge breakout season, having been ranked outside the top 300 in 2025 and now being a top 10 player.
As a result of her huge breakout year, Mboko has been predicted to win Grand Slam titles in the future.
Jovic is the youngest of the four players, and began the 2025 season as the world number 191.
With Novak Djokovic offering advice to Jovic, who has Serbian parents, she has been able to become a top 20 player and achieved her best Grand Slam result at the Australian Open this year by reaching the quarterfinals.
Although Eala is behind Jovic, Andreeva and Mboko in many statistics, she is the only one of these four players who has a positive record against top 10 players.
