Iga Swiatek has won an award for the first time in three years for something she achieved in 2025.
Swiatek won Wimbledon for the first time this year, which was her first title in 13 months after a relatively slow start to the 2025 season.
This seemed to spark something in the former world number one, with Swiatek also winning the Cincinnati Open and the Korea Open.
While she was unable to win the Player of the Year Award, which was won by world number one Aryna Sabalenka instead, Swiatek has received a different honor.

Although she had an impressive end to the 2025 season, Swiatek did suffer a disappointing round-robin exit at the WTA Finals.
For the majority of the players competing at the WTA Finals this signalled the end of their 2025 seasons, but Swiatek still had one tournament left this year.
Swiatek then headed home to represent Poland in the Billie Jean King (BJK) Cup Play-Offs, where she dismissed New Zealand’s Elyse Tse and Romania’s Gabriela Lee for the loss of just three games combined.
As a result of helping Poland return to the BJK Cup Qualifiers, Swiatek was shortlisted for the Heart Award alongside Canadian Open champion Victoria Mboko, Czechia’s Linda Noskova and Slovenian Kaja Juvan.
After being voted by tennis fans as the winner of this award, Swiatek recorded a message to show gratitude.
“I wanted to thank everyone for voting for me so I could receive the Billie Jean King Cup Heart Award,” Swiatek said in a video on Instagram. “I’m really grateful for that and it will really motivate me even more. So thank you for that.
“I also wanted to announce that the budget for the award will go to Smeczem w Raka Foundation, it’s a Polish foundation that helps tennis players and tennis coaches fight cancer. So I think it’s a really important cause and hopefully many more people will contribute. Merry Christmas and take care.”

Where is Iga Swiatek playing ahead of the Australian Open?
Swiatek is now preparing for the 2026 season, where she will look to dethrone Sabalenka at the top of the WTA rankings.
After winning Wimbledon, the Australian Open is now the only Grand Slam tournament left for Swiatek to complete the Career Slam.
Swiatek’s best result at the Melbourne major has been reaching the semifinals, which she also achieved earlier this year and actually had a match point against eventual champion Madison Keys.
Who will win the 2026 Australian Open?
The six-time Grand Slam champion will have the same preparations for the 2026 Australian Open that she has had for the past three years, with Swiatek entered to represent Poland in the United Cup.
Swiatek will first play an exhibition event in Shenzhen, China, which will take place between December 26-28.
