Carlos Alcaraz is already making plans for the 2026 season after being announced to play a prestigious tournament.

Alcaraz suffered a shock defeat to Cameron Norrie at the Paris Masters, as he continued his poor record at the indoor hard court tournament.

After losing his only match in the French capital, and after his rival Jannik Sinner won the Paris Masters, Alcaraz lost the world number one ranking.

Alcaraz can still end the year as world number one, but it seems as though he is already looking ahead to 2026.

Carlos Alcaraz confirmed to play at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships

Alcaraz has won the US Open and Roland Garros among six other titles in the 2025 season.

This includes Alcaraz winning the Queen’s Club Championships for a second time, adding to his maiden victory in 2023.

As he continues to build his legacy at the ATP 500 tournament, Alcaraz has now been confirmed to play at the Queen’s Club Championships for a fourth time in 2026.

When reacting to the news of his entry into Queen’s next year, Alcaraz told the LTA, “The HSBC Championships is a very special tournament for me and one I look forward to every year.

“This year was incredible to come back and win the title for a second time in front of the amazing crowds in London – I couldn’t have asked for a better week.

“Coming back as the defending champion is going to be a challenge against these top players, but I’m excited to go out there and fight to lift the trophy again.”

Alcaraz is not the only player to be announced for the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships, with world number four Amanda Anisimova being announced for the WTA tournament.

The WTA Tour returned to the Queen’s Club Championships for the first time since 1973 earlier this year, with Anisimova losing in the final to Tatjana Maria.

Carlos Alcaraz could match a Jimmy Connors record at the Queen’s Club Championships

Alcaraz has already made grass court history, and he can add to his legacy at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships.

Having won two titles at the prestigious tournament, only six players have won more Queen’s Club Championships trophies than Alcaraz.

Andy Murray, who now has a court named after him at Queen’s, leads the list with five singles titles to his name.

The other names ahead of Alcaraz include John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Lleyton Hewitt and Jimmy Connors.
