Alexander Bublik is one of many tennis players to have reacted to the French Open final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

Bublik lost to Sinner in the French Open quarter-finals after achieving his best ever Grand Slam result.

The Italian went on to reach his first ever final at the clay court major, but Sinner could not convert his three championship points and was beaten by Alcaraz.

Following his straight sets quarter-final loss, Bublik sent a hilarious message to Sinner joking that he ‘almost got him’.

Echoing a similar sentiment after Alcaraz beat Sinner, Bublik commented on a Tennis TV Instagram post.

In this response Bublik wrote, “You got him @carlitoalcarazz.”

This comment received a big reaction, with many tennis fans finding what Bublik said hilarious.

One person wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “(multiple laughing faces) omg he kills me!!”

Another social media user said in a translated post from French, “Bublik is too much (laughing faces).”

Jannik Sinner’s Grand Slam winning streak comes to an end

Sinner’s five set defeat to Alcaraz in the French Open final was his first defeat at a Grand Slam since Wimbledon last year.

Despite Sinner missing three months of tennis this year, his run to the French Open final meant that he won 20 consecutive matches.

During this winning streak, Sinner has collected both the US Open and Australian Open titles, before it all came to an end against Alcaraz in the French Open final.

The next Grand Slam tournament for Sinner is Wimbledon, which is now the only major where he is yet to reach the final.

Sinner will begin his grass court season at the Halle Open, where he is the defending champion and the aforementioned Bublik is currently entered into the qualifying draw.
