Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have continued their incredible dominance at the Miami Open.

Sinner won the Miami Open after beating Jiri Lehecka in the final, therefore becoming just the eighth man to complete the Sunshine Double following his Indian Wells triumph.

Although they have not played each other yet in 2026, Sinner and Alcaraz have continued to dominate the ATP Tour this year.

The Miami Open was the 23rd tournament that both Alcaraz and Sinner have played since the start of 2024, and only one of these 23 tournaments has not resulted in them being the eventual champion.

Alcaraz and Sinner have won 22 of the last 23 tournaments where they have both played, including all of the last nine consecutive Grand Slams.

Who is the better hard court player – Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner?

During this stretch of tournaments, Sinner has won 12 of these 22 titles, while Alcaraz has lifted the trophy at 10, with seven of these finals being played against each other.

The only title that they did not win was at the 2024 Madrid Open, where Andrey Rublev won the title.

Neither Alcaraz nor Sinner reached the final at this tournament, with Rublev beating Felix Auger-Aliassime in the championship match.

Rublev actually beat Alcaraz in the quarterfinals of his home Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid.

However, it is important to note that Alcaraz withdrew from his subsequent tournament at the Italian Open due to an arm injury.

Sinner was also hampered, as he was forced to pull out of his own quarterfinal against Auger-Aliassime due to a right hip issue.

Since Rublev won the Madrid Open in 2024, either Alcaraz or Sinner have won all of their last 19 tournaments where they have both been present.
