Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev are among the Team Europe players in San Francisco this week looking to secure Laver Cup success.
Zverev is set to make his sixth Laver Cup appearance, while Alcaraz is preparing for his second after his debut in Berlin last year.
In Germany, the Spaniard claimed a stunning eight points to help fire Team Europe to success on home soil.
They defeated Team World 13-11 last time out, and are now chasing a sixth Laver Cup success in California.
Zverev and Alcaraz are joined by Casper Ruud, Holger Rune, Jakub Mensik and Flavio Cobolli, led by new team captain Yannick Noah.

And as revealed by the German, a trio of their team has already been holding tactical discussions ahead of the event getting underway.
“Success is key, especially in doubles,” said Zverev, as quoted by the Laver Cup website. “Me, Casper and Carlos kind of talked already, what it can look like. I feel like there’s one team that really sticks out for Team Europe, who should definitely play together.

“When do you ever get the opportunity to be world number three, number two, world number one is with you giving advice? That doesn’t happen because normally you want to beat those guys.
“But now, they’re teammates. So, it is very special as I said, it’s a very different atmosphere that in other tournaments. It’s one of the most fun weeks and I think everybody will enjoy it.”

ATP icon Zverev clearly values doubles highly at the Laver Cup, despite boasting a superb record from his singles appearances.
The German’s 7-2 record is the best in the history of the tournament, with his 21 points placing him top of the event’s all-time scoring list.
But he hasn’t enjoyed such success in doubles, where his record reads 2-3, with both Alcaraz and Ruud on 1-1.
Holger Rune wants to play doubles with Alcaraz at the Laver Cup, but it remains to be seen what decision Noah takes in that regard.

Last time out in Berlin, Alcaraz partnered with both Zverev and Ruud, winning one match and losing the other.
He and Zverev lost to Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton, before the Spaniard recovered alongside Ruud to beat Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
