Holger Rune will be making his debut at the Laver Cup in San Francisco this year.
Rune lost a dramatic match in the Davis Cup over the weekend, as Denmark were beaten by Spain in Marbella.
The 22-year-old even had a match point to seal the tie for his nation, with Rune being criticised for something he did after the match.
Rune will now try and move on from events that took place in Marbella, as he now heads Stateside to play another team event at the Laver Cup.

Holger Rune wants to play doubles with Carlos Alcaraz in the Laver Cup
San Francisco will host the eighth edition of the Laver Cup this year, with Team Europe winning five of the previous seven.
Team Europe will be where Rune will make his Laver Cup debut, playing alongside the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud, Jakub Mensik and Flavio Cobolli.
Rune has just been beaten by Spain in the Davis Cup, but he told lavercup.com that he would most like to play doubles with Alcaraz in San Francisco this weekend.
The world number 11 referenced the time he played with Alcaraz as 13-year-olds at a prestigious junior tournament, claiming that it would be ‘iconic’ to recreate the famous picture.
“Has to be Carlos. That could be pretty iconic to relive that moment again,” said Rune.
“Those [were] good memories and obviously we played each other many times, where we’re on the opposite side of the net, so now we can finally try to be on the same side, which is going to be pretty cool. I’ve heard he has amazing energy, so I think this is really, really good for this kind of format and for our team.”
Rune is one of the only players to beat Alcaraz this year, but will be rooting for him as Team Europe look to retain their Laver Cup title away from home.
There are three doubles matches over the Laver Cup this weekend, giving Team Europe’s new captain Yannick Noah opportunities to put Rune and Alcaraz together.
What is Holger Rune’s doubles record on the ATP Tour?
Rune won his doubles match with Alcaraz all those years ago, but his appearances on the doubles court have been a lot less frequent since then.
Playing with a variety of different partners, Rune has a 62% win-loss record across the ATP Tour and the Davis Cup.
Despite his main focus being singles, Rune has actually reached the semifinals of a Masters 1000 event in doubles alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas in Cincinnati before withdrawing.
