But two-time Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejcikova has withdrawn from Indian Wells, with the Czech ace also set to miss the Miami Open.
Iga Swiatek is out to defend her Indian Wells title in the WTA draw, with Carlos Alcaraz looking for a third successive title on the ATP side.
Top five WTA stars Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and Madison Keys are all in the same half of the draw, with fellow top five players Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula drawn together.
Paula Badosa withdraws from Eisenhower Cup on eve of Indian Wells main draw
11th seed Paula Badosa is also in the bottom half of the draw, but her appearance remains somewhat up in the air after her latest withdrawal.
The Spaniard retired hurt in her Merida Open quarter-final with Daria Saville earlier this month, with the match at 6-1, 3-5.

Badosa’s back injury then forced her into another withdrawal, with the world number 10 pulling out of the Eisenhower Cup.
An Indian Wells tradition, the event serves as a kick-off on the eve of the main draw in California, having just played out its fifth edition.
She had planned to play mixed doubles alongside her boyfriend and ATP star Stefanos Tsitsipas, but they were replaced by Amanda Anisimova and Daniil Medvedev.
Paula Badosa shares injury update on social media ahead of Indian Wells opener
It is undoubtedly a worrying time for Badosa, who will not have wanted a flare-up of her back injury at this stage of proceedings.
Withdrawing from the Eisenhower Cup was certainly the right call, with Badosa not needing to take part in the mixed doubles exhibition event.
It was, incidentally, won by duo Taylor Fritz and Elena Rybakina in a packed Stadium 2 at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Badosa meanwhile is doing her utmost to get ready for her singles opener on Friday, having been given a bye into round two.
The 27-year-old takes on the winner of Kamilla Rakhimova and Caroline Dolehide in the round of 64, with that pairing meeting in the round of 128 on Wednesday.
An injury update has recently been shared by the Spanish star on her Instagram story, with Badosa sharing an image of herself undergoing back treatment with the words “step by step”.
