The 2025 ATP Tour and WTA Tour seasons are now underway, with the 2024 seasons having only just finished last month.
Jannik Sinner ended 2024 as number one on the ATP Tour, with Aryna Sabalenka boasting that honour on the WTA Tour.
Sinner was the hardest to break throughout the ATP season, with the Italian dominating hard courts with his Australian Open and US Open titles.
Sabalenka achieved the same feat, with both players now looking to start the new season by defending their titles in Melbourne.
The first Grand Slam of the season gets underway next month, but the Australian action is already underway at the United Cup, where the likes of Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz are involved.

Tim Henman and Alex Corretja predict ATP and WTA 2025 number ones
Ahead of the new season, Eurosport asked Tim Henman, Alex Corretja, Mats Wilander and Laura Robson to predict the ATP and WTA number ones come the end of 2025.
Corretja stated his while predicting his Australian Open women’s winner, saying: “I’m going to go for [Elena] Rybakina. I’m actually thinking she might finish as No. 1 this year.”
Replying, Mats Wilander predicted his WTA year-end number one: “Aryna Sabalenka is a lot better than Elena Rybakina, Alex.”

Henman meanwhile stated: “[Iga] Swiatek is going to finish No. 1,” with Robson commenting: “I think Sabalenka again.”
The two ex-British number ones then agreed regarding the ATP Tour, with the former simply saying: “Carlos Alcaraz.”
The latter meanwhile said: “I’m going Alcaraz again I think. [Sascha] Zverev can’t be too far off,” with Corretja predicting: “I think Sinner will finish No. 1 again.”
Who can replace Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka as world number ones?
Sinner and Sabalenka will definitely take some catching at the summit, with their positions looking rock solid given their Australian Open history.
The Italian came from behind to beat Daniil Medvedev for his first Grand Slam title last time out, with the Belarusian overcoming Qinwen Zheng.
But the likes of Swiatek and Alcaraz should be hot on their heels, with both knowing what it feels like to be world number one.

There is, of course, a case to be made for Zverev to reach pole position, although he will likely need to end his Grand Slam final hoodoo.
The German currently occupies a career-high second ranking, with defeats in his two career Grand Slam finals so far.
