Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have dominated the Grand Slam tournaments since the start of 2024.
Alcaraz won the Australian Open last month to make it the ninth consecutive major tournament that has been won by either him or Sinner.
This was the first Grand Slam since the 2025 Australian Open in which they did not meet in the final, as Sinner was beaten by Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.

Alcaraz has already completed the Calendar Slam at 22 years old, and is already joint ninth in the history of men’s Grand Slam winners in the Open Era.
Sinner has four Grand Slam wins to his name, putting him alongside the likes of Jim Courier, Guillermo Vilas and Ken Rosewall.
Following Alcaraz’s Australian Open win, there has been a lot of discussion about whether he can meet the numbers of the likes of Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
Who finishes their career on more majors – Alcaraz or Djokovic?
Someone who knows what it takes to win major titles is Wawrinka, and he has told the Khaleej Times that he does not think there is any limit on either Alcaraz or Sinner’s success.
Wawrinka also praised both Alcaraz and Sinner for constantly adding new things to their games.
“There is no limit for him [Alcaraz] and for Jannik,” said Wawrinka. “It’s been amazing to watch the way they are playing, the level they have achieved already at such a young age.
“And as I said, there is no limit, and the future can tell how much they can achieve. As a tennis fan, I like to watch them play because the way they’ve been playing, they are always adding new things to their game.”
