Andy Murray may have only retired in the summer, but tennis waits for no one.
Since then, so much has changed, and we have even seen another departure from the sport on a level somehow beyond his.
Admittedly, there are few players who could shock the world like Rafael Nadal did when he announced his retirement.
It’s always a tricky decision, and even more difficult is finding that purpose after leaving the sport that has dominated a player’s life.
Andy Murray though, has now been offered a new career path.

Speaking on her podcast, attention for Rennae Stubbs turned to Murray, despite the Scotsman having retired from tennis back in August.
Clearly enjoying all of his free time, and having taken up golf to satisfy his sporting vacancy, we have still seen plenty of the three-time Grand Slam champion in the media.
However, this particular pundit has suggested that, should he want to do it, that coaching would be a remarkable venture for Murray to undertake given his elite mentality and remarkable emotional intelligence.
Stubbs stated: ‘Andy Murray, he would be great coaching anyone. This guy knows tennis like the back of his hand, he knows emotion.
‘He would be great coaching anyone female or male because he has a great tennis mind. I think he would be very empathetic to a player’s tough times out of the tennis court. I think he would help anybody on tour.
‘I don’t have a particular player who I think would be the best one.’

Coincidentally, Murray has actually spoken about the prospect of coaching some of the current players on tour.
Whether there was any truth or seriousness to those comments remains to be seen.
After all, Murray said he’d love to coach Emma Raducanu or Carlos Alcaraz as recently as July, to affirm that notion.
And, when asked about fellow British male Jack Draper, he replied: ‘It’s a good question. It depends, really. Initially I want to be at home. I don’t want to travel.
‘But with all the British players when I’m at home I will try to help, whenever I can if any of them wanted to I would try my best to make that happen.’
Murray coaching Jack Draper would be so poetic, watching him usher in the next big talent coming out of the country.
