Andy Murray hinted he may go into coaching post retirement and he already has four players on his list.
The 37-year-old was given an emotional farewell ceremony on Centre Court after losing his doubles match alongside brother Jamie.
A video featuring some tennis greats sent in their tributes and players stood on the court to pay their respects to who many consider to be Britain’s greatest ever tennis player.
Murray’s adoring fans gave him a standing ovation before he exited the court in which he enjoyed some of the finest moments of his career.
As he draws his glittering career to a close, Murray hinted at possibly becoming a coach and sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with the younger generation.
What has Andy Murray previously said about coaching?
Not only did Murray tease becoming a coach rather than returning to Wimbledon as a spectator in his farewell speech, but in 2022 he suggested four players he would like to coach.
He told Tennis Channel at the time: “Female player – Emma Raducanu, male player between Alcaraz, Tsitsipas and Draper.”
Carlos Alcaraz has already reached the World number one and is a Grand Slam champion, while Stefanos Tsitsipas has been a mainstay in the top 10.
Jack Draper has become the British number one but is aiming to break into the top 10 and win a Grand Slam, while Emma Raducanu is aiming to work her way back up the rankings and find a level of consistency.

Could Andy Murray coach Emma Raducanu?
Raducanu appears to be rediscovering her best form following a scintillating performance to defeat Elise Merterns 6-2, 6-1 to reach the Wimbledon third round.
The 21-year-old is set to play alongside Murray in the mixed doubles competition which commences on Saturday.
Raducanu said she hopes she can learn something new from the double Olympic champion, and this doubles partnership could perhaps sow the seeds for a player-coach relationship in the future.
Given they are British compatriots and Murray previously named Raducanu as someone he would like to coach, it would not be a surprise if this partnership became a reality.
Fans are very excited by the prospect as X user @MrDavidWhelan said: “Genuinely think Murray coaching Raducanu is possibly on the cards in a year or so,” while @Erdogan44 said: “Andy Murray to coach Emma Raducanu let’s goooooo #Wimbledon.”
@Jenny1175xxx added: “After what Andy said today, Emma Raducanu should snap Andy Murray up for her coaching team before someone else does!” and @fabsab5) posted: “Prediction (which I’m sure has already been said)… after they compete in mixed doubles together at #Wimbledon this year, Andy Murray could end up being Emma Raducanu’s coach in future! That would be epic.”

What is Emma Raducanu’s coaching history?
Since her US Open triumph in 2021, Raducanu has experienced several different coaches while on tour. Andrew Richardson guided her to glory at Flushing Meadows, she decided not to keep him as a coach and two months later hired Torben Beltz.
After their brief partnership ended, Dmitry Tursanov was hired but their working relationship was also short-lived and the Russian later spoke of “red flags that couldn’t be ignored.”
In December 2022, the Brit turned to Sebastian Sachs but they parted ways after less than six months while Raducanu was recovering from surgery in June 2023.
Raducanu is currently working with Nick Caveday, who she hired in January 2024. He previously worked with her as a teenager and did some work with her in Roehampton before Christmas in 2023.
‘I’ve known Nick since I was 10 years old and he was helping me out over the last week at the NTC [National Tennis Centre],” she told BBC Sport at the start of the year. “Before that the LTA helped me a tonne.”
