Andy Murray comments on if he would coach Jack Draper after retiring from tennis.
The 37-year-old is in Paris ready to compete at his fifth and final Olympic Games before hanging up his racket.
It will bring an end to an excellent career which includes three Grand Slam titles and two Olympic gold medals.
Fans will hope another British player can follow in Murray’s footsteps and it could be the current British number one in Draper.
Would Andy Murray coach Jack Draper?
Murray has praised Draper multiple times for his work ethic and the talent he possesses to become a top player on the ATP Tour.
The three-time Grand Slam champion has previously stated his interest in becoming a coach, but it is not something he is planning on doing in the near future.
“It’s a good question. It depends, really. Initially I want to be at home. I don’t want to travel,” Murray told his 2012 Olympics mixed doubles partner Laura Robson in a Eurosport interview.
“I want to spend time with my family and see my kids growing up as that’s something you miss when you are on the road and the last few years when you have been away for three or four weeks at a time I have found that difficult.
“But with all the British players when I’m at home I will try to help, whenever I can if any of them wanted to I would try my best to make that happen.
“It is a big commitment to coach if you want to do it properly and I would want to make sure I do it properly.”

Is Jack Draper playing at the Paris Olympic Games?
Draper is in the French capital ready to compete in his first Olympic Games. He will compete in the singles event and will commence his campaign against the veteran Kei Nishikori.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a progressive 2024 season in which he beat Carlos Alcaraz to reach the Queen’s quarter-finals and become the new British number one.
Now in Paris Draper, who was part of the many Team GB athletes at the opening ceremony, is keen to make an impact at the global sporting event.
“I’m so excited,” he said. “I’ve never been before so I don’t know what to expect or what’s going to happen but I’m looking forward to that occasion and being back in a team environment like Davis Cup and enjoying it.”
