Carlos Alcaraz has won the biggest title of his 2025 season so far after winning the Monte Carlo Masters.

Alcaraz beat a hampered Lorenzo Musetti in the final, losing just one game after dropping the first set.

Despite the Italian being unable to showcase his true ability in the final, Alcaraz predicted Musetti to achieve big things in the future.

It is not just Musetti that has faced obstacles in recent times, with Alcaraz admitting his own secret problem that has impacted his life over the past month.

After winning his first ATP Masters 1000 title in over a year, Alcaraz has received messages from many of his peers.

Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka message Carlos Alcaraz after his Monte Carlo Masters win

After winning the Monte Carlo Masters for the first time, Alcaraz posted to Instagram to celebrate his title victory.

The Spaniard was flooded with comments congratulating him, including from the ATP Tour and Roland Garros.

Some of the more noticeable names praising Alcaraz, included Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka and Real Madrid footballer Vinicius Junior.

Djokovic lost his only match in Monte Carlo, but in a translated message from Spanish congratulated Alcaraz.

He wrote, “Congratulations Titan (strong arm and raised hands emojis).”

While Wawrinka and Vinicius Jr simply just commented clapping hand emojis.

Some of the other noticeable names to wish Alcaraz well included former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu and Miami Open winner Jakub Mensik.

Where is Carlos Alcaraz playing next?

There will be little time for Alcaraz to celebrate his Monte Carlo Masters victory, as he is already in the draw for the Barcelona Open.

Alcaraz is a two-time champion at the ATP 500 tournament, but withdrew from the Barcelona Open last year due to a right arm injury.

The 21-year-old is scheduled to play exclusively either qualifiers or lucky losers in his opening two matches, with Alcaraz competing against young American Ethan Quinn in the first round.

If he continues to progress through the tournament, Alcaraz could play top 10 players Alex de Minaur, Andrey Rublev or defending champion Casper Ruud.
