Tennis fans all over the world are hoping to see a fit Carlos Alcaraz when the big tournaments get underway during the summer months. However, some worrying news has come to light about the Spanish sensation.
Alcaraz is firmly considered the new kid on the block. He has already ticked off Wimbledon and the US Open and he’s been backed by Andy Roddick to win a number of Grand Slam titles as his career continues to impress.
The 20-year-old is wonderfully talented and he’s burst onto the scene with aplomb. He has claimed a tournament success this season winning Indian Wells by beating Daniil Medvedev in the final of the competition.
Now, the player will be eying the summer as a big time for him as he goes in search of more major titles this year. The French Open will be one that he’s keen to crack, with the defence of his Wimbledon title also in his sights.

Worrying Carlos Alcaraz news now emerges
This isn’t a sight that supporters of Alcaraz wanted to see today. Now, it’s emerged that the player is injured and there are doubts being cast over whether or not he can play in the Monte Carlo Masters.
The Spaniard is due to take on Felix Auger Aliassime in the round of 32 but now some injury details have come to light and it might be a case of panic stations for Alcaraz.
An update has come from 20 Min and it’s claimed that Alcaraz was visibly hampered during a practice session earlier today – feeling some discomfort with his forearm.
It meant that the reigning Wimbledon champion could hardly practice his forehands during today’s session and when he did they were all on the slice.
This isn’t the time of the year to be getting niggling injuries. Alcaraz needs to be up to the task at full pelt and hopefully, this is something that can be managed accordingly.
Alcaraz has a big call to make
The talented player won’t want to disappoint his fans but he has to do what is right for his body. It’s tough to play the way that Alcaraz does and ultimately, he relies on being fully fit.
Alcaraz is energetic on the court and much like Rafael Nadal was, he simply refuses to admit defeat when he’s out on the court.
Pulling out of the Monte Carlo Masters wouldn’t be ideal. However, if it gets him right for the big majors to come this summer, it could be a risk worth taking.
