Danielle Collins is flying high in 2024, with the American’s latest success on the court helping her thrive at Wimbledon.
The 30-year-old has seemingly gained a second wind after announcing her decision to retire from tennis in January.
Two titles have gone her way since then, while she recently stormed into the fourth round at Wimbledon without dropping a set.
Clara Tauson, Dalma Galfi and Beatriz Haddad Maia have all fallen victim to the 11th seed at the All England Club.
The latest victory helped Collins play a part in recent history, with seven Americans reaching the fourth round in singles, the highest tally since 2004.

She has been really enjoying her final adventure in London, although a trip to Centre Court remains on her wishlist before retirement.
Collins has caught the eye of many at Wimbledon thanks to her superb displays, with Hollywood icon Matthew McConaughey among her biggest fans.

Collins is now 36 for 11 in 2024 so far, with the American having tasted success at the Miami Open and the Charleston Open.
She has been in formidable form on the court, and is clearly giving things one last major push before hanging up her racket.
The current world number 11 has won four titles in her fantastic career, with a highest ranking of world number seven having gone her way in 2022.
Plenty of success could still be on the cards, but Collins will be calling it time soon enough due to injury issues and other life goals.
For now, however, she is having a real impact on women’s tennis, with Wimbledon fans really enjoying her displays on the grass.
