Mirra Andreeva is undoubtedly the new star on the WTA Tour, with the teenager now an Indian Wells champion.
Former world number five Daniela Hantuchova has likened Andreeva to Carlos Alcaraz, with the Russian now a three-time WTA Tour winner.
Andreeva has risen to sixth in the world rankings following her Indian Wells success, where she beat Aryna Sabalenka in the final.
Roger Federer has inspired Andreeva, who beat world number one and top seed Sabalenka 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in California.
And that superb performance came after the 17-year-old knocked out the likes of Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina.

It is, of course, far too early for Andreeva to be thinking of replicating the superb success of Sharapova, but she is certainly going about things the right way.
The latter won five Grand Slam titles during her stunning career, with the former posting her best Grand Slam finish to date in the semi-finals of the French Open last year.

Similar runs can be expected in the very near future given her current ability and huge potential, but for now she should be fully enjoying her latest success.
Remarkably, it comes immediately after she won the Dubai Tennis Championships, which like Indian Wells is a WTA 1000 tournament.
She has now risen a huge five places to sixth in the WTA rankings, and enters another WTA 1000 event in the Miami Open full of confidence.
