Juan Carlos Ferrero has seen Carlos Alcaraz win his first Grand Slam title without him in his coaching box.
Ferrero departed from Alcaraz’s coaching team just a month before the Australian Open, bringing an end to their hugely successful seven-year partnership.
This caused some to doubt the world number one’s prospects of winning the Australian Open, but Alcaraz has backed up his decision after winning his seventh Grand Slam title under the guidance of coach Samuel Lopez.
After watching Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic to win the Australian Open, Ferrero has sent an indirect message to both his former player and Lopez.

Carlos Alcaraz receives message from Juan Carlos Ferrero’s Academy
Alcaraz has completed the Career Grand Slam after winning the Australian Open for the first time, and he has become the youngest man to do so as well.
While Ferrero has not reached out to Alcaraz publicly since his historic feat, the former world number one’s academy have sent a message on social media.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Juan Carlos Ferrero’s Academy congratulated Alcaraz on his latest achievement.
It read, “So amazing journey (fire emoji). So hard work! Congrats Carlitos! Many more things yet to come (raised hands and salute emoji).”

If not, which Grand Slam is he going to fail to win?
The Ferrero Tennis Academy also released a separate Instagram story to praise Lopez and the rest of Alcaraz’s team on their success.
“Massive congratulations to @slopezjareno and Team Carlitos on this well-deserved victory,” said the Ferrero Tennis Academy.
Who is Juan Carlos Ferrero now coaching after Carlos Alcaraz?
Ferrero has been very vocal about how difficult he has found the split between himself and Alcaraz, who he coached from the age of 16.
However, the former French Open champion has already ventured into another coaching partnership, but it is actually not in tennis.
Instead, Ferrero has joined forces with young Spanish golfer, Angel Ayora, in a surprise move for the 45-year-old.
Who would you like to see Juan Carlos Ferrero coach next?
While he will not be providing the expertise for Ayora’s golf swing, which will be left to his main coach Juan Ochoa, Ferrero will be helping the 21-year-old in terms of the mental aspect of his performance.
It is currently unclear as to how long this partnership will last, and if Ferrero plans to make a return to tennis as coach.
