Jiri Lehecka has reflected on his defeat to Jannik Sinner in the Miami Open final in a post on Instagram.
Lehecka reached his first Masters 1000 final in Miami, before being beaten by Sinner 6-4, 6-4.
Despite being beaten by the Italian, Lehecka believes Sinner and Alcaraz’s dominance is good for men’s tennis.
Lehecka has now sent a message to Sinner, in his first post on social media since losing in the Miami Open final.

Lehecka’s talent was already known about prior to the Miami Open, but he was an unlikely finalist after losing his only match at Indian Wells.
However, after reaching his first ever Masters 1000 final in Miami, Lehecka appears to be excited about what is ahead.
Lehecka also congratulated Sinner for making history at the Miami Open after completing the Sunshine Double.
“What a week! Hungry for more,” Lehecka wrote on Instagram. “Thank you @miamiopen and congrats for again, rewriting history of this sport @janniksin.”
Following his run at the Miami Open, Lehecka has reached a career-high ranking of world number 14.

Lehecka will look to continue climbing up the rankings during the clay court season, and he has the opportunity to do so.
The Czech is already confirmed to rise up to world number 13 next week, as Flavio Cobolli is not defending his title in Bucharest, and things could get even better for Lehecka.

Lehecka earned 270 ranking points during the clay court season last year, which he could already surpass if he reaches the semifinals of his next tournament at the Monte Carlo Masters.
Despite being unable to surpass the third round in his three previous appearances at the Monte Carlo Masters, Lehecka has reached the semifinals of a clay court ATP 1000 tournament before at the Madrid Open in 2024.
Lehecka will play the Monte Carlo Masters first, before competing at tournaments in Munich and Madrid.
