Jannik Sinner issued a heartfelt response after winning an ATP end-of-season award for the second time.
The Italian was voted as the Fans’ Favourite singles player in the annual ATP Awards, for the second successive year.
2024 just keeps getting better for Sinner, who won nine titles including the Davis Cup and became the World number one for the first time.
Jannik Sinner has no intention of letting that crown slip but he will enter unfamiliar territory at the start of 2025 as the top ranked player that each of his rivals are gunning for.
Jannik Sinner reacts to winning ATP’s 2024 Fans’ Favourite award
Sinner was named the fans’ favourite for the second consecutive after wowing fans with his electrifying performances in 2024.
The 23-year-old won his first two Grand Slam titles over the last 12 months and Sinner failed to lose a match in straight sets this season.
The spectators resonated with Sinner’s play and character both on and off court, and therefore he was the recipient of the coveted award once again.
Issuing his response on X: Sinner wrote: “Thank you to all the fans around the world for voting for me. Winning this award for the second time means so much to me, especially because it’s coming directly from you.”

Who has previously won the ATP Fans Favourite player of the year award?
The ATP began issuing the Fans Favourite of the Year award in 2000. The first player to win the award was Brazil’s Gustavo Kuerten, before Marat Safin claimed the honour in 2001 and 2002.
For the next decades the award went to one man, Roger Federer. The Swiss Maestro, arguably the most beloved player in tennis history, claimed the honour from 2003 right the way through to 2021.
The now retired Rafael Nadal finally won the award in 2022, while Sinner has been the winner ever since.
In another message to the fans, Sinner said: “You are the reason why I love to play tennis. The support has been amazing throughout this whole season, thank you so much.
“See you very soon again on the court next year. I wish everyone a happy holidays, stay close with your friends, loved ones and family, because they’re the most important people, see you again soon.”
