Jannik Sinner is on top of the tennis world right now after winning his second Grand Slam title at the US Open.
Sinner beat Taylor Fritz 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 in the US Open final at Flushing Meadows, having also won the 2024 Australian Open.
The Italian world number one now has six wins for the season, with Sinner having won all six finals he has played in.
Sinner congratulated Fritz on his US Open run, with the American having enjoyed his most successful Grand Slam journey.
Novak Djokovic meanwhile congratulated Sinner on the victory, with the Serbian defending champion having suffered a shock early exit in Queens.

Jannik Sinner names his greatest tennis player of all time
Djokovic does, however, remain top of the men’s Grand Slam Open Era winners list with 24 titles, followed by Rafael Nadal’s 22 and Roger Federer’s 20.
And after winning the US Open for the first time, Sinner has now shared his thoughts on the greatest men’s player to ever grace the courts.
Asked who is the greatest player of all time by the ATP Tour on X, Sinner said: “Ouch. From my point of view, it’s Roger.”
Can US Open champion Jannik Sinner replicate Roger Federer’s success?
Replicating the success of the one and only Federer will be a near-impossible task, but Sinner is certainly going about it the right way.
The Italian has won his first two Grand Slams in the same season, with the two wins demonstrating two different sides to his game.
Sinner’s ruthless nature helped him overcome Fritz in straight sets, while his determination helped him recover from two sets down to beat Daniil Medvedev in Melbourne.
The Italian is also ahead of the Swiss in terms of his progress, with Sinner overtaking Federer as the youngest man to reach the Australian Open and US Open in a calendar year.
Already world number one aged 23, there really is no telling just how many more Grand Slam titles Sinner will go on to win.
