Iga Swiatek is safely into the third round of Roland Garros after defeating Sara Bejlek 6-2, 6-3.
Swiatek won her Roland Garros opener 6-1, 6-2 against Emerson Jones, with the Pole now continuing her superb record at the clay-court Grand Slam.
The WTA number three has clinched the Roland Garros title four times, triumphing in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Swiatek now boasts an extraordinary 42-3 record in Paris, and has just matched tennis icon Chris Evert with her latest win.

Iga Swiatek matches Chris Evert at Roland Garros
As per OptaAce, Swiatek has joined Evert with 42 wins from 45 main draw matches at Roland Garros, the most in the Open Era.
The pair are ahead of Monica Seles (41), and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, Martina Navratilova and Steffi Graf (all 39).
Swiatek’s feat has already caught the eye of Evert, who posted several clapping emojis on X in reaction to the record.

Swiatek now turns her attention to round three of the clay-court Grand Slam, where she will take on a fellow Pole.
She faces Magda Linette in an intriguing match-up, although it does fall short of the blockbuster that could have been.
Linette defeated Jelena Ostapenko in round two in Paris, with the Latvian now unable to try to continue her stunning success against Swiatek.
Ostapenko and Swiatek have met six times throughout their WTA careers, with the former remarkably winning all six.
That should be a relief for the Pole, but the six-time Grand Slam champion will be taking nothing for granted against her compatriot.
Swiatek is, however, seemingly on a real high right now, and will be boosted further by the fact that she is now 27-0 against unseeded opponents at Roland Garros.
In the Open Era, only Rafael Nadal and Bjorn Borg faced more such players at the tournament without losing.
