Since 2022 Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula have been in a league of their own when it comes to one particular statistic.

The pair have been two of the WTA Tour’s best and most consistent players for some time now and they currently occupy two of the top three spots in the world rankings.

Swiatek is the reigning French Open champion and she has showed a level of consistency across the WTA Tour that very few have been able to match since she reached the summit of the women’s game in 2022.

Despite having an injury-interrupted year, Jessica Pegula is now at a career-high running and reached her first Grand Slam final at the US Open.

The new World number three is keen to build on her momentum from the North American hard swing in the final portion of the season.

What have Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula done that no other player has managed since 2020?

Iga Swiatek is known primarily for her dominance on clay, but she has also shown her pedigree on hard courts.

According to the WTA, since 2020 Swiatek and Pegula are the only two players to have registered more than 50 wins on hard courts. Swiatek leads the way with 61, while Pegula is currently on 59 wins.

The 2024 US Open runner-up has the opportunity to surpass Pole’s tally when she competes at the ongoing China Open.

The World number one was also due to take to the court in Beijing, but Swiatek announced a late withdrawal from the China Open due to personal reasons.

How many hard court titles have Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula won?

Swiatek has won 22 titles throughout her career so far, 12 of which have come on a hard court. Two of those titles have come at Indian Wells, and she has won the Qatar Open for three successive seasons.

She became the first player to win three consecutive titles at the same hard court event since Serena Williams between 2013 and 2015 in Miami.

Swiatek’s greatest hard court triumph however came at the US Open, a title she won in 2022. This is the only major she has won away from the French Open so far.

Hard court’s are Pegula’s most dominant surface as five of her six titles have come on the concrete. She had a chance of adding a seventh career title after reaching the US Open final for the first time, beating Swiatek along the way. But Pegula just fell short after losing 5-7, 5-7 to Aryna Sabalenka.
