Tiafoe is emulating Andy Roddick at the US Open, with the former in fantastic form ahead of the fourth and final major of the year.
American men impressed in the build-up to the tournament, which is taking place at Flushing Meadows in New York.
Ben Shelton embraced Tiafoe after their meeting at the US Open, which the latter won in a five-set thriller.
Arthur Ashe Stadium hosted that all-American clash, with the same venue set to host Tiafoe’s match with Dimitrov.

Tiafoe is unsurprisingly in high spirits ahead of the match, with the American now exchanging messages with star actor Matthew McConaughey after his latest win.
Tagging Tiafoe and fellow quarter-finalist Taylor Fritz on X, McConaughey said: Tiafoe and Fritz win again. Red white and blue closing in at the US Open.

Tiafoe then responded to the message, saying: “Appreciate the love legend.”
Can an American man win the US Open?
Tiafoe thinks an American can win the US Open, with Fritz also into the quarter-finals after beating Casper Ruud in the fourth round.
American stars once dominated the men’s singles at the US Open, but that certainly hasn’t been the case lately.

Andy Roddick is the last American man to win the tournament, having tasted success all the way back in 2003.
The likes of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have dominated the scene at Flushing Meadows since then, along with a handful of one-time winners.
It is now on Tiafoe and Fritz to break the trend, although the duo have uphill tasks against Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev respectively.
