The best of the best ATP and WTA tour players are convening for the final Grand Slam of 2024, so The Tennis Gazette looks at how much prize money the US Open will offer.
Organizers of the tournament at Flushing Meadows have put together a record purse for the US Open in 2024. It has grown by 15.38% compared to a year ago when Coco Gauff won her first Grand Slam title and Novak Djokovic became a four-time men’s singles US Open winner.
Whoever wins the singles titles in 2024 will even earn 20% more than Djokovic took in 2023. The runners-up’s prize money for the 2024 US Open singles titles have risen by 20% as well, with the tournament putting up a massive $75m purse to set a new record for a Grand Slam.

Wimbledon had set a new record for a Grand Slam prize pool with this year’s tournament in SW19 paying out £50m ($65m). Carlos Alcaraz even took home $3.4m after winning, on top of the $2.6m the Spaniard also swept up for winning the French Open earlier in the season.

So, with that in mind, The Tennis Gazette looks at how much prize money the 2024 US Open will pay, including how much the men’s and women’s singles and doubles winners will earn…
