Coaching changes are continuing throughout the tennis off-season, as players continue preparations for 2026.

Frances Tiafoe parted ways with his coach after a disappointing 2025 season, which saw him lose the last five matches of the year.

There have also been some big changes for Daniil Medvedev, who has confirmed his team for the 2026 season after splitting from his coach of eight years after the US Open.

Medvedev’s former coach is now working with an American player, and now a former Masters 1000 finalist has now parted ways with his coach.

Nicolas Jarry announces split from coach of three years

Nicolas Jarry has produced the best results of his career under the guidance of Cesar Fabregas, who has helped win two ATP titles.

Fabregas was also Jarry’s coach when he reached the biggest final of his career at the Italian Open in 2024.

Although he was unable to clinch the title, Jarry’s run to a Masters 1000 final enabled him to achieve a career-high ranking.

However, after three years working together, Jarry has announced that Fabregas will no longer be coaching him.

In an Instagram post, Jarry paid tribute to Fabregas and wished him well for his future endeavors,

Jarry wrote, “After several years, a lot of work and time shared, today a chapter closes. Thank you Cesar for all these years that we worked together, all the progress and for always being very good to my whole family.

“You were and will be very important in my career and as a human being. All the best to you in your new endeavors!”

Will Nicolas Jarry be playing the Australian Open in 2026?

Fabregas also helped Jarry reach the fourth round of Wimbledon for the first time this year, but that was one of the only positive results he achieved in 2025.

The Chilean has only won 16 of his 38 matches this year, with Jarry going on a six-match losing streak to end his season at the ATP Challenger tournament in Villena, Spain.

Jarry also only won one match at the Italian Open this year, and as a result is currently the world number 123.

This is Jarry’s lowest year-end ranking since working with Fabregas, and it is going to have big implications on his 2026 season.

Jarry is unable to directly enter the Australian Open and instead will have to play in the qualifying draw.
