Emma Raducanu continued her good form after beating Olga Danilovic in her first match at the Cincinnati Open.

Raducanu is a seed at the Cincinnati Open this year, being rewarded for her recent form that includes her run to the semifinals of the Washington Open.

That is not the only change for the Briton, with Raducanu being joined by new coach Francisco Roig.

It was a good start for the new partnership, with Raducanu continuing an impressive streak that is better than Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.

Emma Raducanu continues winning streak in opening matches

Raducanu reached the quarterfinals at the Miami Open back in March, in what was the start of her partnership with Mark Petchey.

While he is no longer travelling with her due to his media commitments, Petchey is still in close communication with Raducanu.

Following her latest win, Raducanu has now won at least one match at her last 11 tournaments, which dates back to the Miami Open.

Although Raducanu has not won a title since winning the US Open, this streak is something that neither Sabalenka nor Gauff have managed this year.

Sabalenka is not far behind, and has won the opening match at her last 10 tournaments, with her last defeat coming at the Qatar Open to Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Gauff has won 11 opening matches in a row before in her career, but is some way off achieving the feat in 2025.

Including the shock first round defeat Gauff suffered at Wimbledon, the world number two has lost her opening match at four of her last 12 tournaments.

Emma Raducanu vs Aryna Sabalenka Head-to-Head

Raducanu and Sabalenka will be spoken about alongside each other again, as they will play each other in the third round of the Cincinnati Open.

This will be their second match this year, with Sabalenka beating Raducanu at Wimbledon in a closely contested battle on Centre Court.

Their only previous meeting on a hard court came at Indian Wells last year, with Sabalenka getting a straight sets win on that occasion as well.
