Emma Raducanu has filled her schedule ahead of the first Grand Slam of 2026 at the Australian Open.
Raducanu had an abrupt end to her 2025 season, after struggling with illness during the Asian swing.
However, it was still a very positive season for the British number one, with Raducanu reaching the Miami Open quarterfinals to help her break back into the top 30.
This means that she will now be seeded for the Australian Open, and with Raducanu already confirmed to play the United Cup, she has now added another tournament to her busy schedule down under.

Emma Raducanu confirmed to play the Hobart International
Raducanu will make her debut at the United Cup this year, leading the British team alongside Jack Draper.
However, that is not the only tournament she will enter for the first time, with Raducanu also set to compete at the Hobart International.
The Hobart International began in 1994 and has seen former champions including Kim Clijsters, Elena Rybakina and Petra Kvitova.
Raducanu will be joined by two-time winner Elise Mertens, as well as 2025 Hobart International champion McCartney Kessler, who have both also been confirmed to return to the tournament.
If Raducanu is to make it deep into the tournament then she will have little time to recover for the Australian Open, which begins just one day after the Hobart International final.

Emma Raducanu praised for entering the Hobart International
Despite having a positive year in terms of results, Raducanu has received some criticism for not playing more WTA 250 events, after not winning a title since her US Open triumph in 2021.
Raducanu has now entered the Hobart International, which is a WTA 250 level tournament, and tennis fans have reacted very positively to the news on social media.
One fan wrote on X (formerly known on Twitter), praising Raducanu for not entering the higher WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide which is taking place the same week.
They said, “Yess! I was hoping she’d do Hobart instead of Adelaide for a deep run.”
Someone else added, “Great to see Emma in a 250. Hope to see her in more 250s in 2026.”
Another person also praised Raducanu for filling every week prior to the Australian Open.
“First time Emma will have a full Aus schedule in her career… excellent to see!”
Who will win the 2026 Australian Open?
Raducanu played just two WTA 250 tournaments in the entirety of 2025, and she has now entered one in the first month of 2026.
However, before she competes in Hobart, Raducanu will make her debut at the United Cup in Perth with matches against Naomi Osaka and Maria Sakkari.
