Daniil Medvedev wants just one thing from Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 Laver Cup.
The Russian is part of Team Europe along with the reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion, who is playing in the tournament for the first time.
They will be captained by Bjorn Borg for the final time, as the Swede will step aside for Yannik Noah who will take over from 2025.
They will be hoping to play their best tennis as Team Europe seeks a first Laver Cup title since 2021.

Daniil Medvedev is one of those happiest that Carlos Alcaraz is part of Team Europe for this year’s Laver Cup.
The-21-year-old has produced more brilliance this season in which he became the sixth man to win the French Open and Wimbledon titles back-to-back.
Now he is determined to help Team Europe regain the Laver Cup and Medvedev has just one wish for the Spaniard, who has won five of their seven head-to-head matches.
“Usually you don’t want them to win,” Medvedev told reporters during the pre-Laver Cup press conference. “Here is like the only week where you are very relaxed, you want them only to win.
“Carlos, I just wish he plays like [he does] against me and we’re all good then we get some points and we’re all happy.”
What is Daniil Medvedev’s Laver Cup record?
Medvedev is making just his second Laver Cup appearance, with his with his first coming back in 2021 when the event was held in the American city of Boston.
This came less than a month after he defeated Novak Djokovic to win his first and so far only Grand Slam title at the US Open.
He played just one singles match at that year’s Laver Cup which came against Denis Shapovalov, and he claimed a 6-4, 6-0 victory.
Team Europe went on to claim a 14-1 win, which is the most dominant victory in Laver Cup history so far.
