The Wimbledon Championships came to an end on Sunday and now tennis fans’ attention will turn to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

An excellent fortnight on the famous grass courts culminated with Carlos Alcaraz’s emphatic straight-set victory over Novak Djokovic in the gentleman’s singles final.

Next on the agenda for many of the world’s best players will be the upcoming Olympics on the clay at Roland Garros.

The likes of 14-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal and top-ranked players Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek will be competing to win gold.

Meanwhile, the American contingent also looks strong, with Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz among their best chances of success.

The Tennis Gazette outlines every Team USA player who will be at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Men’s Singles

Taylor Fritz just made the quarter-final at Wimbledon, where he lost in five sets to Lorenzo Musetti, and he also made the quarter-final at the French Open earlier this year. The world number 11 will fancy his chances of winning a medal.

Tommy Paul also made the Wimbledon quarter-final, taking a set off the eventual winner Alcaraz, and could go far at Roland Garros. Christopher Eubanks and Marcos Giron are both outsiders but have the ability to cause an upset on any given day.

Women’s Singles

Coco Gauff is among the favourites to take home the gold medal in Paris. The world number two enjoys playing at Roland Garros, reaching the French Open singles final in 2022 and winning the doubles final this year.

However, Gauff is not Team USA’s only hope as Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins and Emma Navarro are all inside the top 15 in the WTA rankings. It would not come as a surprise to see any of them reach the latter stages.

Men’s Doubles

Team USA have picked one of their teams on talent and the other on doubles specialism. Fritz and Paul are the two best individual players so they will pair up at Roland Garros.

Meanwhile, Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek are ranked sixth and 24th in the ATP doubles rankings, respectively. It will be interesting to see which team fares better.

Women’s Doubles

As with the men’s doubles, the two best female singles players are on the same side. Gauff and Pegula had the ideal preparation for the Olympics, teaming up to make the quarter-final at Wimbledon 2024.

Taylor Townsend and Nicole Melichar-Martinez are both higher-ranked but it is Desirae Krawczyk who will take to the court alongside Danielle Collins, who is retiring at the end of the season.
