Carlos Alcaraz has soared into another Wimbledon semi-final, with the defending champion in red-hot form.
The Spaniard suffered a scare in his quarter-final clash with Tommy Paul at the All England Club, with the American taking the first set.
But Alcaraz recovered in terrific fashion, blowing away his opponent on Court One to secure a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 win.
Up next for the 2023 Wimbledon winner is a semi-final meeting with Daniil Medvedev, who has just beaten Jannik Sinner.
The world number one suffered from ill-health during the match on Centre Court, but still managed to put up a real fight.

Carlos Alcaraz faces ‘special’ Daniil Medvedev at Wimbledon
Medvedev was, however, up to the task, with the fifth seed battling to a 6-7(7-9), 6-4, 7-6(7-4), 2-6, 6-3 win.
The Russian’s superb ability was on display for all to see in London, with Alcaraz well aware of the challenge he now faces.
“I am going to say that the most difficult and special thing about Daniil is that he can reach every ball,” Alcaraz said in his quarter-final press conference.
“He is like a wall. Every ball comes back. I feel like I can hit an unbelievable shot and the ball is going to bounce back.
“It is difficult to play thinking about that. So I’m going to say that is the most special thing about Daniil.”
What is Daniil Medvedev’s record against Carlos Alcaraz?
Medvedev will certainly be fatigued after his lengthy encounter with Sinner, with their meeting lasting four hours.
But the world number five has no time to ponder the match, with a clash with Alcaraz now standing between him and a first ever Wimbledon final.

The 2021 US Open champion fortunately knows what to expect, with Medvedev having noticed the difference between Alcaraz and Sinner.
But the Russian – who has a 2-4 record against the Spanish ace – will have bad memories of taking on Alcaraz at Wimbledon fresh in his mind.
At the exact same stage last year, the Spaniard beat Medvedev 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 on his way to All England Club glory.
Alcaraz finds himself in another Grand Slam semi-final after reaching a ninth Grand Slam quarter-final from his first 14 attempts, the most of any male player at the beginning of their career.
