Carlos Alcaraz is a man on a mission at Indian Wells, with the Spaniard storming into the semi-finals in California.

Alcaraz was in formidable form ahead of Indian Wells, with a Rotterdam Open win among his recent achievements.

But Alcaraz still wanted to improve his first serve heading into the ATP Masters 1000 event, where he now finds himself in the last four.

World number three Alcaraz has dominated the tournament in recent times, winning at Indian Wells in the last two seasons.

It is, however, legendary figures Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic who lead the way at the event with five titles each.

But Alcaraz isn’t far behind, with British number one Jack Draper now standing in the way of the Spaniard and another final.

Both players will be full of confidence going into the semi-final, but the Spaniard may just have the edge mentally after achieving a superb feat.

As per Tennis, Alcaraz has now reached the Indian Wells semi-finals or better for the fourth successive year, following in the footsteps of Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

He lifted the trophy in two of those previous three runs, with Nadal beating Alcaraz in the 2022 semi-finals before losing the final to Taylor Fritz.

What is the head-to-head record between Carlos Alcaraz and Jack Draper?

Given that they are 21 and 23 respectively, Alcaraz and Draper have been coming through the ranks together.

And that has allowed for many exciting battles to have already taken place, with their pair having met four times on the ATP Tour so far.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it is the Spaniard who leads the Briton in this regard, with Alcaraz boasting a 3-1 record over Draper.

The British number one did manage to beat his rival on home soil at Queen’s, but has been unsuccessful elsewhere, including at this year’s Australian Open and indeed at Indian Wells.
