Indian Wells has now arrived, with Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek out to defend their ATP and WTA titles respectively.
Swiatek and Alcaraz will be honoured at Indian Wells, having lifted the trophies at the iconic California event last time out.
Alcaraz is chasing a third successive Indian Wells title, a feat achieved only by Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
Spanish star Alcaraz has a bye in round one, with his title defence starting in round two against Quentin Halys.
Swiatek meanwhile also has a bye in the first round, with either Caroline Garcia or Bernarda Pera awaiting in round two.

Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek lead way for 6-0 and 6-1 sets
The WTA number two is yet to win a title in 2025, but ATP number three Alcaraz did triumph at the Rotterdam Open.
But both players have often been in formidable form on the court, with their pair leading the way for the most sets won by 6-0 or 6-1 in 2025, as per Tennis Bakery.
Alcaraz tops the ATP pile with nine, followed by Alex de Minaur (eight), Tommy Paul (seven), and Alexander Zverev (five).
Swiatek meanwhile is well out on front on the WTA with 11, followed by Belinda Bencic (eight), with quartet Paula Badosa, Daria Kasatkina, Elise Mertens and Dayana Yastremska all on seven.
Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz dominate recent Indian Wells winners
Ever since breaking onto the scene, both Swiatek and Alcaraz have really enjoyed their time at Indian Wells.
The tournament constantly attracts the biggest names across the WTA and ATP tours, but the pair have often managed to come out on top.
There is, of course, no Jannik Sinner in the men’s draw in California, with the world number one currently serving a three-month ban.
The women’s draw meanwhile is wide open, with Sinner’s fellow Australian Open champion Madison Keys making just her first appearance since going all the way in Melbourne.
