Carlos Alcaraz’s latest tennis match is the most memorable he has played so far.

Alcaraz defended his French Open title in the most dramatic of circumstances against Jannik Sinner, saving three championship points and erasing a two-set deficit.

The 22-year-old produced one of the greatest comebacks in tennis history and in the process became a five-time Grand Slam champion.

But there is little time for Alcaraz to keep enjoying his iconic win as he is due to commence the grass court season and build towards defending the title at the Wimbledon Championships.

Carlos Alcaraz will play at Queen’s after initial doubts surrounding his participation

Alcaraz has commenced his grass court season at the Queen’s Club Championships for the past two years.

He had been confirmed to make a third appearance in 2025, but reports surfaced on Tuesday which placed his participation in some doubt.

Alcaraz’s coach Juan Carlos Ferrero said they are monitoring Alcaraz’s recovery from his French Open exploits before making a decision regarding his participation at Queen’s.

But fans will be pleased with the latest update, as Spanish media outlet Marca reported on Thursday that Alcaraz will travel to London on Friday to compete at Queen’s.

The tournament commences next week and the World number two will aim to win the title for the second time in his career.

Who is the only player to have beaten Carlos Alcaraz at Queen’s?

Alcaraz made his Queen’s Club Championship debut in 2023 and went on to win the tournament despite his lack of experience on grass at the time.

He has lost just one match at the tournament and that came against Jack Draper in 2024.

Draper, the ATP’s World number four, claimed a 7-6, 6-3 victory against the Spaniard with the home crowd cheering him on.

This was the first time that Alcaraz had been beaten by Draper and the Brit claimed his second career win against him at the Indian Wells Masters in March.
