Ben Shelton will take some more time off after winning his fourth ATP title last week.
Shelton won the Dallas Open for the first time in his career after beating his compatriot Taylor Fritz in the final.
The 23-year-old was even able to do this after Fritz had three championship points, as Shelton fought back to take the title.
Shelton was scheduled to return to the ATP Tour next week, but he has now postponed his comeback to the match court.

After winning the Dallas Open, Shelton was scheduled to have a week off before playing at the Mexican Open in Acapulco.
Shelton has played at the Mexican Open for the past three years, but he will not be returning to the ATP 500 tournament in 2026.
It has been confirmed that Shelton has withdrawn from the Mexican Open, with it presumed that this is for scheduling reasons.

Shelton has now been replaced by Australian player Adam Walton, as he will now have an extra week off before Indian Wells.
This is not the only big name that the tournament has suffered, with Lorenzo Musetti also pulling out of the Mexican Open as he continues to deal with the injury he suffered at the Australian Open.

Although the Mexican Open has suffered some significant withdrawals in both Shelton and Musetti, the tournament still has a very strong lineup.
The Mexican Open is a very prestigious event on the ATP Tour, and has seen former champions in the likes of Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem and Gustavo Kuerten.
Last year, Tomas Machac won the Mexican Open, but he will not be returning to Acapulco to defend his title after electing to play in Dubai instead.
The top seeds in Acapulco this year will be former champions Alexander Zverev (2021) and Alex de Minaur (2023 & 2024).

The remaining seeds in Acapulco are former runners-up Casper Ruud (2024), Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (2025) and Cameron Norrie (2022), as well as Flavio Cobolli, Valentin Vacherot and Frances Tiafoe.
All of these players will compete at the Mexican Open next week, with the 2026 tournament getting underway on Monday, February 23.
