Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz were the dominant forces once again throughout the latest ATP Tour season.
Alcaraz is the year-end number one, closely followed by Sinner in second, with the duo combining to win 14 titles.
Who will win the 2026 Australian Open?
However, Sinner outshone Alcaraz in many key areas this season, although it was the Spaniard who clinched the most trophies.
His eight titles were more than any other player on the ATP Tour, with Sinner’s six triumphs placing him second on the list.

Joao Fonseca backed to become ‘even better’ than Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz
Despite their current dominance and indeed potential to keep impressing, Gustavo “Guga” Kuerten has predicted an even brighter future for Joao Fonseca.
Three-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one Guga told ESPN: “They (Alcaraz and Sinner) are incredible, extraordinary, they do everything all the time at an absurd frequency.
“It’s tennis at a level that nobody could achieve before, and naturally the generations to come… and we have Joaozinho who will be even better, because he also has that potential.
“We see great virtues in a complete tennis player: serve, return, mobility, especially those shots that leave the player standing still, which is rarer to see nowadays. But all three possess this advantage.”
It’s certainly a huge prediction about world number 24 Fonseca, who has two ATP titles to his name so far.

Aryna Sabalenka says what Joao Fonseca ‘definitely’ needs to work on
Also sharing her verdict on the young Brazilian was Aryna Sabalenka, the number one player on the WTA Tour.
She said: “He’s a great guy, very nice, with great tennis. A very strong athlete. He definitely needs to work on the physical side of the game, adding other elements to hit the ball even harder.
“I feel he has a great team around him and is working on that difference. For sure, in a few years we will see him in the top 10.”
A reminder of what happens when Jannik Sinner plays Carlos Alcaraz…
It’s quite the claim from the Belarusian, who clearly knows what it takes to be the very best player in world tennis.
As for Fonseca’s physicality, it will undoubtedly improve with time and training given he is only 19 years old.
