Andy Roddick is among the former tennis stars seemingly enjoying the 2024 Laver Cup, which is currently underway in Berlin.
Roger Federer met with John McEnroe at the Uber Arena before the competition got underway, with the latter in his final year as Team World captain.
The Swiss star also took to the court, with another legend in Chris Evert loving Federer’s practice session at the Laver Cup.
In an action-packed opening day, Francisco Cerundolo ensured the first point on the board was red as he beat Team Europe’s Casper Ruud.
But Stefanos Tsitsipas levelled the scores with a win over Thanasi Kokkinakis, before the blue team went ahead after Grigor Dimitrov beat Alejandro Tabilo.

Andy Roddick says what players think about the Laver Cup
Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton did, however, ensure Team World ended the day with a 2-2 tie after their doubles win over Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.
It has been an exciting event thus far, with tennis icon Roddick now sharing his overall thoughts on the Laver Cup.
“Well I can only speak from Davis Cup experience, which isn’t what it once was,” Roddick told Tennis Channel. “I think Laver Cup is aiming to take its lunch a little bit and has successfully done so.
“I have to be honest, I called a little bit of a bluff early on with players buying in and this really mattering, was it an overrated exhibition… and these players care, it actually really, really matters, and I think they’ve done a great job.
“It’s the first thing that we’ve seen in tennis that started from ‘let’s make an amazing product for TV, and work backwards for fan viewership’, and they’ve done a 10/10 job with that.”
Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe enjoying final Laver Cup as captains
Roddick has been hugely impressed by the Laver Cup, which is now in its seventh season after beginning back in 2017.
Bjorn Borg and McEnroe have been mainstays as captains of Team Europe and Team World respectively, with the former boasting the bragging rights.
But after winning the first four Laver Cups, the Swede has been on the receiving end of back-to-back losses.
