Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev now face one of the biggest match-ups of their impressive careers.
The duo will go head to head in the French Open final, having enjoyed themselves on the Paris clay this year.
Court Philippe-Chatrier hosts the highly-anticipated encounter, with German fourth seed Zverev seeking his first-ever Grand Slam.
His opponent already has two to his name at the age of 21, having won the US Open in 2022 and Wimbledon in 2023.
The Spanish star has proven his ability on every surface, but has admitted that his game suits the clay courts ‘very well’.

Andy Roddick predicts men’s French Open final winner
Alcaraz clinched his spot in the final two with a superb semi-final win over Jannik Sinner, with Andy Roddick blown away by their ‘absurd’ levels on the court.
The former major champion has now looked ahead to the final, predicting who will come out on top between Alcaraz and Zverev.
“I like Alcaraz in this match-up,” Roddick said on Served With Andy Roddick. “Zverev has beaten him in slams twice, Alcaraz has beaten him in a slam once.
“Zverev knows what to do, knows how to beat him, he beat him in Australia this year. But Alcaraz I feel like was searching for something at the end of last year and then into this year until Indian Wells.
“Alcaraz went right through him at the US Open last year, like lopsided, it was straight sets. He beat him in Madrid when he was in full flight in 2022, I think it was 3-1.
“And then Zverev beat him a couple of years ago here at Roland Garros, in what was the first year where we thought Alcaraz might be the favourite.
“All that being said, Zverev is not going to be frightened of the match-up.”
Will Carlos Alcaraz win the French Open?
This is the furthest the Spaniard has been at the French Open, with his title dreams coming crashing down in the semi-finals last year.
He was outdone by three sets to one in his meeting with Novak Djokovic, with Zverev also falling at the 2023 semi-final hurdle.
The German lost in straight sets to Casper Ruud, but will have been delighted to have enacted his revenge this time around.
The pair met in the semi-finals once more in the French capital, with Zverev coming out on top despite losing the first set.
Alcaraz’s lengthy clash with Sinner should play in Zverev’s favour, but the former will still be very hard to beat, particularly if he produces a display similar to that of his semi-final win.
