Jasmine Paolini is having a steady 2025 WTA season.
Many wondered how she would fare this season following an unexpected breakout 2024 campaign, in which she reached two Grand Slam finals.
The Italian solidified her spot in the top 10, and she also claimed an Olympic gold medal in doubles alongside Sara Errani.
A year later, Jasmine Paolini is still a top 10 player and will be one of the players to watch at the upcoming US Open.

Andy Roddick thinks Jasmine Paolini is the most ‘complete’ WTA player
Paolini is one of the biggest competitors and most passionate players on the WTA Tour.
The 30-year-old is very difficult to break down and her skills as both a singles and doubles player make her tough to hit through both at the baseline and the net.
Along with her consistent groundstrokes, Andy Roddick thinks Paolini may be the WTA’s most complete player.
“I love Paolini. She is such a complete player. I am going to say something and everyone is going to go crazy, but just give me some time to breathe after I say it. She might be the most complete player in the women’s game,” Roddick said via his ‘Served’ podcast.
“Now by that I mean she can defend far behind the baseline. She can play different heights off of both sides. Forehand loop, forehand drive. She can take away time, step into the court.
“You can’t solve her serving 82mph sometimes against Swiatek. She will get overpowered sometimes but, man, she might not be tall in stature but she is tall in heart and fight and she is tall in watchability. I will tell you that much right now. She is a dream to watch.”

Jasmine Paolini thanks the Italian Federation after reaching the Cincinnati Open final
Paolini is currently without a permanent coach after ending her partnership with Marc Lopez after just three weeks.
Therefore, with the help of the Italian Federation, Federico Gaio joined Paolini’s team in Cincinnati and will remain her coach at least until the end of the US Open.
After Paolini finished runner-up at the Cincinnati Open, she took some time during the trophy presentation to thank Gaio and her team for helping her reach the final.
“I want to congratulate Iga. You’re playing amazing. You really deserve this title. Congrats to you and your team,” she said.
“I want to say thank you to my team also… and the Italian tennis federation who supported me these two weeks and is supporting me throughout the year. I’m really glad.
“I’m kind of without a coach, so Federico is here through the federation. I called them and told them I need support. They are there for me. Thank you very much.”
