Amanda Anisimova was on the wrong side of a one-sided Wimbledon final against Iga Swiatek.
Anisimova was unable to win a game against Swiatek, in a final that lasted just under an hour on Centre Court.
This is just the second time that this has happened in the Open Era, with there now being calls for Grand Slams to make a rule change.
Despite being very upset with what happened in the Wimbledon final, Anisimova has received an outpouring of support since.

Amanda Anisimova posts social media message after Wimbledon final defeat
In her first public social media post since losing the Wimbledon final in such emphatic fashion, Anisimova thanked those who have supported her.
The American also revealed the quote that she would be taking forward, which she read just before walking out onto Centre Court.
“Thank you everyone for the immense amount of support and kind words, it doesn’t go unnoticed,” Anisimova wrote on Instagram. “If you can meet with triumph and disaster, and treat those two imposters just the same” a quote you read before walking onto center court & one I’ll be carrying with me.”
The messages of support continued for Anisimova in the comments of her post, including from former US Open champion Sloane Stephens.
Stephens, who is currently recovering from injury, wrote, “Proud of you!!!!”
World number 57 Camila Osorio continued that sentiment by writing, “Congrats!! Incredible tournament (love heart emoji). So inspiring (crown emoji).”
It was not just tennis players wishing well, with popular American actor Taylor Lautner also wishing Anisimova well.
He wrote, “Should be so proud wow (praying hands and fire emojis).”
What is next for Amanda Anisimova?
Although a lot of the conversation is currently around how Wimbledon ended for Anisimova, after reaching her first Grand Slam final she is about to receive a great reward.
Anisimova will now climb into the top 10 of the WTA rankings for the first time in her career at world number seven.
It has been a breakout season for Anisimova, who also won her first WTA 1000 title in Doha back in February, and she is also currently positioned well in the race to the year-end Finals at sixth.
Anisimova will now be looking to regroup ahead of the North American hard court swing.
The 23-year-old is scheduled to begin things at the Washington Open, which begins on Monday, July 21, before heading to Montreal, Cincinnati and then the US Open.
